- Personally Identifiable Information (Mobile Number): During registration and use, we collect your mobile number. This is used exclusively as an authentication identifier to verify your active subscription status.
- Local Storage Data: The extension stores your mobile number, role preferences (e.g., Shop Owner or Assistant), and device lock keys locally in your browser using Chrome's
storageAPI. This allows the extension to automatically fill in details on the login page without requiring manual input each time.
3. Data Protection and Sharing
We strictly adhere to the following principles regarding your data:
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of the approved use cases.
- We do not use or transfer user data for purposes that are unrelated to the extension's core single purpose.
- We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not log, track, or transmit any ration card details, biometric information, or portal interactions to our servers. All interaction with the Ahara portal happens directly between your browser and the government servers.
4. Host Permissions
The extension requests host permissions for specific domains to function correctly:
- *://*/shopowner_mserver/*: To inject the automation scripts specifically on the Ahara portal login pages.
- https://aharahelper.netlify.app/* / https://aharahelper.vercel.app/*: To securely check your subscription status against our backend API and to fetch dynamic HTML selector hotfixes to keep the extension working if the portal's design changes.
5. Remote Code
Our extension does not use or execute remote code (e.g., external JavaScript files or eval()). All active logic is bundled within the extension package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
